DARIN DIVINE

History

Darin Divine was born in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on June 22, 1976. He graduated from Tamalpias High School in Mill Valley, California as a soccer player and surfer.

As a Marin County Native since 1988, he spent much of his time appreciating and exploring the pristine open space of Marin County on his bicycle and started riding in cycling club and charity tours. By 14 years old he completed his first solo 100 mile course. At 16 he completed the Davis Double Century by riding 200 miles in 16 hours. At 18 years old he started competing in road bicycle racing events across California. After 10 years as a mechanic and assistant manager in a San Rafael bicycle shop it was time to change careers.

With his father as a builder/carpenter and a step-father as a union sheet metal worker as his reference group he was always very mechanically inclined. In 1996, he started as an apprentice with Wolfgang Buck Electric in Tiburon. Later he worked with George Lutz Electric until he received his C-10 Electrical Contractors License from the California State Contractors License Board. In 2004 Divine Electric was established and continues to provide electrical services to Marin County and San Francisco.
